The Winter Story Summit occurs on a five-night tour of the Caribbean from February 22 to February 27. The summit emphasizes intimacy and health in the writing process.
Each Summit participant will be mentored in one-on-one sessions with award-winning professionals, and collaborate in small groups and round table discussions with talented peers and working mentors. Mentors include writers who have written timeless classics: Jeff Arch (Sleepless in Seattle) and Tab Murphy (Gorillas in the Mist).
Full award winners (along with a guest of their choice) are provided with an all-tuition paid trip to the Winter Story Summit 2020, which includes five nights (February 22- February 27) on Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas Cruise Ship. This tuition includes complete access to all events at the summit, an ocean view room (for sleeping for two), and all food and beverages — a value of $5,500. Tuition does not include travel to and from the summit.
Recipients of the partial Story Summit Scholarships will receive a 25% to 50% deduction on the Winter Summit tuition of $5,500. (this also allows you to bring a guest of your choice). Recipients will need to confirm their financial capacity to pay the remainder of the tuition.

We are excited about these scholarships and grateful to our underwriters, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Michael D Publishers. Indeed, we wish that all our writers could come without financial obligation. Until that times comes, we do have scholarships and a special Be Our Guest promotion running which allows an applicant to attend at a reduced rate AND bring a guest on us. To learn more about the Be Our Guest invitation, go here.
