Story Summit Fellowships Unite to Bring 3 Uganda Writer-Educators to America

They join the Cape Cod Story Summit October 11 — October 17, 2020

--

Three writers, all friends and educators, from Uganda — Rosette Kyakyo, Sylvia Nalubega, and Rebecca Cherop — will be attending the Cape Cod Story Summit in October, 2020. Their tuition is being underwritten by Fellowships associated with the Summit.

“Storytelling has always been seminal to social change,” says Story Summit Founder, David Paul Kirkpatrick, and a former President of Paramount Pictures. “Rosette, Sylvia, and Rebecca are using their gifts to awaken and enlighten their readership through the stories they tell. Never before has is been so important to encourage and strengthen these women voices.”

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to attend the Story Summit,” says Rosette Kyakyo, a team leader at Slum Youth Rehabilitation and Development Organization. Rosette works with youth in different life skills to promote their socio-economic development. Rosette uses writing and story to transform and cause developmental change.
