Cape Cod Story Summit Announces Winners of Dream On Writing Scholarships

Scholarships are designed to jump start careers of writers 40 and over

A college writing tutor and a content developer, Sandi Sonnenfeld of Poughkeepsie, New York wins the top prize for the Dream On Scholarships.

The full tuition scholarship allows Sonnenfeld and a guest to attend the Cape Cod Story Summit from October 11 to June 17, 2020 at the tranquil and beautiful Ocean Edge Resort in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

“We chose Sandi Sonnenfeld as the Dream On Scholarship winner for her historical novel Virago. Set in Russia in the 1600s, it’s the sweeping story of Alekseevna Romanov, the fourth daughter of the Tsar,” wrote summit Mentors, Debra Engle and Rosa Salazar, in a joint statement. “Expertly researched and beautifully written, the story is both timely and timeless, addressing the political oppression and prejudices against strong women that we still see today.”
